This event is being organised in partnership with the Office of the President’s Special Assistant on Job Creation & MSMEs, Nigerian High Commission in London, the office of the Prime Minister’s Trade envoy to Nigeria, The Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM), The Public Service Institute of Nigeria (PSIN), the African Diaspora Direct Investment Summit, the British African Business Alliance, Investpora Synergy and several other partners.

 

ABOUT THE SUMMIT (THE NDDIS & ADDIS)

Theme: Mobilizing the Nigerian and African Diaspora to Support MSMEs and Job Creation for Sustainable Development

Objective

The primary objective is to mobilize the Nigerian and African Diaspora to:

Invest in and support MSMEs in Nigeria and Africa.

Facilitate job creation and entrepreneurship opportunities for youth and women.

Attract foreign funding and grants to boost MSME growth.

Strengthen partnerships for achieving UN SDG goals related to poverty reduction, gender equality, decent work, and economic growth.

 

Key Components and Expected Deliverables of the Roadshow and Summit

The Roadshow and Summit will comprise the following:

1. Roadshow Activities

Diaspora Engagement Sessions: Town halls to engage Nigerian and African Diaspora communities in London on investment opportunities in Nigeria and Africa and their role in development.

Workshops: Interactive sessions on funding MSMEs, accessing global grants, and starting small businesses in Nigeria and Africa.

2. Investment Summit

Keynote Addresses: Delivered by Governors, Ministers, policymakers, industry leaders, and Diaspora thought leaders.

MSME Expo: Showcasing successful MSMEs from Nigeria and Africa to inspire and attract investments.

Funding Opportunities: Presentations by international development agencies, private investors, and grant providers on available funding streams.

Networking Opportunities: Facilitating connections between Diaspora members, investors, and African entrepreneurs.

3. Capacity Building for MSMEs

Workshops for MSMEs on building sustainable businesses, leveraging technology, and achieving green growth.

4. United Nations SDG Focus

The event will align with SDG goals, particularly:

Goal 8: Promote sustained, inclusive, and sustainable economic growth, full and productive employment, and decent work for all.

Goal 9: Build resilient infrastructure, promote inclusive and sustainable industrialization, and foster innovation. Goal 1: End poverty in all its forms everywhere.

FUNDERS AND GRANT PROVIDERS

At our summit, there is an excellent opportunity to have valuable humanitarian and other projects that contribute to society fully funded. Funding is available based on a 0% forgivable loan or grant for projects that meet the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). This means you can have projects fully funded by philanthropic funds. An excellent opportunity to have valuable humanitarian and other projects that contribute to society fully funded or provided with a loan on very favourable conditions. At the moment, we have a funder that is providing funding as follows:

  • There are 2 levels of funding: $1M to $10M and $50M and $600
  • Submit as many as possible projects at the same time provided, they meet the funding requirements
  • There are 2 key conditions to be met for funding to made available
  • a) that one or more SDGs, specified at the start of the project are met (depends on value of project)
  • b) that a reimbursed deposit amount is made at project start which is returned within months of project launching
  • There are no fees incurred to apply for project funding

ROAD SHOW AND SUMMIT IN LONDON PROGRAMME

Day 2:  Main Day: Friday 21/03/2025

  1. Investment Summit (Nigerian Diaspora Direct Investment Summit & African Diaspora Direct Investment Summit).
  2. Investor Meetings with state government officials in the Deal Room
  3. State government exhibition stand to give information to prospective investors
  4. Meeting with Grant and Fund Providers in our deal room
  5. Meeting with State indigenes and other Nigerian Diaspora business leaders who may be interested in investing in Nigerian states

Exhibition at the Main Summit

This multi-track summit will bring together a unique and international mix of large, medium, and small companies. The exhibition stands and deal rooms will run in parallel with the summit providing our partners and delegates the chance to exchange and get updated information from companies and enable our delegates to register and exchange information.

Deal Rooms at the Main Summit

Deal rooms will be open throughout the duration of the summit. This will be manned by our Deal room Managers and coordinators. Our Deal rooms are where we bring investors, venture capitalists, entrepreneurs, corporations, and government officials face to face for Fast, Secure, High-Value Dealmaking discussions to strike deals in a B2B environment. This ensures that our summits are not talk shops.
